HERE'S HOW THE CHALLENGE WORKS:
Each team of four skiers will be given a number. Every time a team member makes a run, 1500 feet will be added to that team’s vertical score. At the end of the day, all the teams’ scores will be tallied and the winner will be announced. To make the event family friendly and safe for everyone, checkpoints will be set up around the mountain that each team will try to take note of, answering the questions asked. The purpose of this is to make sure people slow down, ski safely and have fun. Vertical may also be “purchased” during the event!
Returning Incentive:
Started last year, there was a new
incentive for participants to raise more pledge money. For every extra
$100 raised in pledges that a team raises over the $400 minimum pledge fee, we
will start that team off with an extra 100 vertical feet to their tally sheet!
For example, for a team that brings in $600 in pledges, we will add an extra 200
vertical feet to the final tally.
